    AGROPAGES recently interviewed Mr. Kornkanok Chantakitwattana, the Vice President of Plant Protection Business of CHIA TAI CO., LTD. in Thailand. He introduced us to the development of the agricultural market in Thailand and its main problems. CHIA TAI has had good relations with Chinese pesticide suppliers, and he also looks forward to the future cooperation between the two parties.

  • Where is the way out of small and medium-sized European agrochemical enterprises?   2018-10-23

    In this interview, we have bypassed those “super players” in the market and invited the senior executives of some small and medium-sized pure European companies, as well as local European and North American consulting agencies for in-depth dialogue. We are expecting to know the latest dynamics of the European agrochemical market from their point of view, and see how they respond to the market fluctuations and look at the changes in the current agrochemical market.     Recently, AgroPages conducted an interview with Mr. Scot von Bergen, President of Point Americas, which has its head office in Montevideo Uruguay and operations in many Latin American countries, together with the company's Chinese partner Ya Su, President of Milagro Chemicals. Mr. von Bergen told AgroPages, the links between him and the Chinese agrochemical industry trace back to the beginning of the 21st century, and he is amazed at the rapid development and great changes in China’s pesticide landscape.

  • Monsanto: Ushering in the Next Wave of Agriculture Innovations with Emerging Tech Trends and Integrated Solutions for the Farm   2018-03-23

    AgroPages.com conducted an interview with Mr. Jagresh Rana, President of Asia-Africa at Monsanto Company. Rana has been focused on farming, while working in the food and agriculture sector for over 20 years. He joined Monsanto India as a Business Development Manager in 1997, and has since held several leadership roles. Prior to the current position, he was the Geography Strategy Lead at Monsanto’s headquarters in St. Louis, Missouri, responsible for heading Corporate Strategy initiatives for the global commercial organization.

In the case of the pesticide industry, the change in its external environment over recent years was particularly drastic, and had considerably affected companies, leaving many small and medium-sized firms to exit the market. Other companies, departing from decades of pesticide technical production and price competition, entered a higher level of rivalry. This new wave of competition highlighted the use of technology and forward thinking.

  • Pilarquim: Innovative brand marketing winning strong support; 800 global registrations expected in three years   2017-12-01

    In early 2017, Beijing Mindleader Agroscience Co., Ltd., a leading pesticide formulation company in China, made an important investment while it was still on the fast growth track. The company increased capital in Pilarquim (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., and Mr. Mu Canxian, chairman of Mindleader, became the chairman and legal representative for Pilarquim (Shanghai) Co., Ltd.

    In early 2017, Beijing Mindleader Agroscience Co., Ltd., a leading pesticide formulation company in China, made an important investment while it was still on the fast growth track. The company increased capital in Pilarquim (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., and Mr. Mu Canxian, chairman of Mindleader, became the chairman and legal representative for Pilarquim (Shanghai) Co., Ltd.

  • Top 20 Pesticide Enterprises of China in 2016   2017-10-20

    Judging from the overall performance of the top 20 domestic companies, the levels of China's pesticide players remained on the rise. The top three in the list changed spots, with Nutrichem jumping from the third place in the previous year to the top with sales revenue of Yuan4.549 billion. Rainbow Chemical and Fuhua Tongda ranked second and third, with Yuan3.751 billion and Yuan3.664 billion sales revenues, respectively.

    Judging from the overall performance of the top 20 domestic companies, the levels of China's pesticide players remained on the rise.     From the production perspective, manufactures running productions of the product at present include Jiangsu Changqing Agrochemical and Shandong Binnong Technology, who are making supplies to East Europe and Australia. Additionally, Zhongshan Chemical disclosed its plan to launch an S-metolachlor production project. Upon completion of the project, mixture products will be released in the corn market, as well as for application in weed prevention and control in sugarcane and wheat fields.
