Dr. Claude Flueckiger has over 30 years of worldwide experience in the crop protection and seed industry as both a commercial and technical executive, and holds a PhD in Entomology from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH). Currently he is a consultant providing strategic advisory services to companies in the global agriculture and crop protection industries (www.flueckigerconsulting.com). Claude has served as a Global Product Management Leader for Insecticides at Ciba, and as the USA Marketing Leader for Fruits and Vegetables at Novartis. He also developed and led the initial global commercialization of the largest blockbuster insecticide at Syngenta.

Claude led Syngenta’s first global specialty crops team and developed strategic direction in those crops for seeds and crop protection. He has developed new products which became blockbusters for multinational companies. He has successfully implemented innovative Go-to-Market strategies. Claude has also guided the development of innovations towards successful commerzialization in many different small and large companies. Most recently, he was Global R&D Leader in Crop Protection for Syngenta’s Lawn & Garden businesses (chemical products and biologicals).

Many of Claudes greatest successes have been rooted in building, leading and supporting high performing teams.

Claude’s professional passions include the implementation of Integrated Crop Protection Systems, the development of biologicals, moving the Agro Industry in a more sustainable direction, and leveraging the opportunities created by new technologies in AgTech.
